Replacement Wheelchair Cushion Covers and Wheelchair Upholstery in the UK

This may be of interest to those in the UK, who need replacement wheelchair cushion covers or wheelchair upholstery.

From the website:

Tired of plain Covers and Upholstery, Tired of High Prices, look no further.

For the Last 6 years I have been making replacement Wheelchair Cushion Covers & Replacement Upholstery for wheelchair users. I can make standard sizes or made to measure for those non standard chairs & cushions. Cushion Covers are available to buy online through Paypal secure payment, or call me to discuss any special requirements you may have.

Cushion Covers come in Plain Terry Towelling or Breathable Airtex Mesh both incorporate 3 layers and one of those being carbon impregnated foam. Covers are all washable and easy to clean and suitable for most types of Cushions & Chairs. A good cover should allow the movement of air between the person and the top surface of the cushion, preventing the build up of perspiration and heat that can lead to pressure sores and skin complaints.

Replacement Upholstery both Seat and Back Upholstery, several different styles and materials are available depending on your chair. Materials for the back upholstery include a strong durable Waterproof Nylon which is long-lasting and practical, Polyester Air Mesh for breathable upholstery offering a greater degree of comfort; this includes an extra Carbon Impregnated foam layer, also Leather Upholstery available for total luxury or a selection of the three. Back upholstery will include medium density foam and will offer more support than the manufactures tend to supply these days. Both Seat and Back Upholstery will come with adjustable Straps for tension adjustment to help give you the best seating position possible.

I am myself a wheelchair user with 20 years experience and my aim is to supply a quality product at a reasonable cost. If you are not satisfied with anything that I supply I will gladly replace or refund any costs you may have made.

Excellent - just what wheelchair users need, an alternative to the manufacturers overpriced replacement parts. I'll certainly be talking to them at the appropriate time.

Nice find! I've added them to my bookmarks, sick of getting over charged by manufactures too!

This looks good I might resurrect my "spare" Cycone which ( A little like its owner) needs a new back.

I've been using Brian at Cover-plus for many years and must say that his workmanship is 110%. He is totally flexible and doesn't rip you off on postage, for example he made me a custom over for my chair for 30 quid and then only changed me 6 quid (the actual cost) to post it to Sweden unlike Cyclone who ripped me off 25 quid postage to Sweden for a strap.
