Ok, I have a question and I apologize now for this being long :)
My husband had a urodynamic test about a month ago. Since that test he had a UTI which was treated with antibiotics. Since the UTI and the urodynamic, he has had continuing problems with reflexing especially at night. We've tried watching his fluid intake and making sure that we cath every 4 hours at night. Just the other night he reflexed within 45 minutes of lying down and we had cathed right before getting into bed. Our only solution right now is to wear a condom catheter at night. Before the UTI and urodynamic, we were able to go anywhere from 4 to 6 hours at night without cathing. He recently had a urine culture last Wednesday and it came back clean. He has also been reflexing occaionally during the day when before he could easily go 6 to 8 hours while in his chair without reflexing. Has anyone else had this happen? Also, his spasms have increased and I recently talked him into trying a low dose of baclofin to help curb his spasms and help him rest better at night (he never even took a tylenol before his accident)...could the increase in muscle spasms have anything to do with him reflexing? Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

God will never give me anything that I cannot handle.....I just wish he didn't trust me so much!

Check this out.

It may help in whatever decisions you and your husband make in the future. My daughter elected for the supapubic catheter because she couldn't go anywhere without diapers. Other than a few bouts of diarrhea, she is diaper free. She is a T-6, and was able to go swimming after taking off her bag and clamping off the catherter. She was even able to swim to the bottom of a 9 foot pool.

(She likes the coloplast 5074, legbag, because it hold alot, ..enough to sleep through the night...)
