Hi,

I think I read an article in local newspaper about it. But I've never had enough time to take a close look.

I'm looking forward downloading it soon (when they repair my cable internet). :D

Yes, guys, it is really very good. However, how good depends where you are. Some areas, urban areas mainly, have very good resolution whilst non-urban is not so good but this is being worked on I gather so it will get better with time.

I thought is was great as a way of seeing how countries fit together and for time zones. It is well worth the download though don't forget the program gets data from the internet as you use it so a fast connection is essential.

Yep, I've had it for a while but as mentioned it depends where you are in the world. I live in a small village in the UK (Hilmarton Nr Calne) & it's not really viewable as it's all outta focus whereas London etc is.

The US is better covered I think & the Grand Canyon etc is amazing. Funny though we're buying a place in Southern Spain (winter pad coz I don't like the cold n damp here in the UK) & it's up in the hills in the middle of nowhere yet the nearest town 10 minutes away is pretty clear & you can even see swimming pools/cars.

I understand the data is also some months old as in todays technology there isn't the bandwidth to stream it live, but it would be cool to view 'now' & check out traffic or what's happening elsewhere of interest plus a whole new world of being nosey or security ha :D

I use it slightly as a group of friends on the internet all put our homes on it so we could see where each other is.
