Yep, so today I got into the shower, got my clothes off, showerd, got dressed and back into my chair without and help at all! :mfromg:

Next on my list is independent bowl care... :dev:

congrats! most of us know too well how liberating it must be to be independent

I gather you haven't been injured for long? Keep at it and you'll return to a normal life!

Paraplegic with Spina Bifida. Sensory and function level is T8. T11-L5 fusion 1993. Laminectomy and decompression T10 2006. Spinal fusion T8-T12 with instrumentation Feb 2007. Moderate kyphoscoliosis. Taking 75mg Lyrica 3xday for neuropathic pain.

it is empowering just knowing that if you crap yourself you can clean yourself up without having to make public or even just household news of the bowel accident. im not much farther out from my injury than you are and i know that although it takes a hell of a long time to get very simple things back, you'll get a lot of your independence back. if it was 20 or even 30 years ago and you were living this life it would not be this easy at all. i thank goodness for modern science and healthcare everyday. hope youre well!
