it is empowering just knowing that if you crap yourself you can clean yourself up without having to make public or even just household news of the bowel accident. im not much farther out from my injury than you are and i know that although it takes a hell of a long time to get very simple things back, you'll get a lot of your independence back. if it was 20 or even 30 years ago and you were living this life it would not be this easy at all. i thank goodness for modern science and healthcare everyday. hope youre well!

congrats! most of us know too well how liberating it must be to be independent
I gather you haven't been injured for long? Keep at it and you'll return to a normal life!
