ive had a suprapubic done over 12 months ago im still getting alot of spasms ive using oxybutynin this not working for me im having my cath changed every 4 weeks is there any other meds i can try to stop the bladder spasms

U can try Sanctura XR. (trospium chloride extended release capsules) The oxybutynin did not do much for me as well. I inter. cath and was having lots of spasms while on the oxy. The sanctura has worked for me so far, its been about 1 1/2 months since the med. change and have been pretty much spasm free. Hope you find something that works for you, good luck!

I'm a C-6 quad with an SP and dealt with constant dysreflexia due to bladder spasms for many years. I had nearly given up that anything would help, but about 6 months ago was given Vesicare 10MG to try and it literally has changed my life for the better.

No longer due i constantly get the cold sweats and feel like my brain is about to explode from wicked dysreflexia. In the 6 months or so on Vesicare, i might get dysreflexia once a month instead of 10-15 times a month. My quality of life from this drug is so much higher now.
