I am very new to this, however, have been given instructions by my son to make this post. All I am doing is copying what he has written so I hope it works. Gary is due to be released from hospital on Saturday 21st Jan. He is recovering well, although as you can imagine, being so helpless is not something he likes. Everything seems to be healing well and his plasters are due to come off on 12th Feb. BEfore this accident, Gary was back on his feet, however, we dont know what this accident will have done to that. In addition to the broken bones, he suffered extensive bruising to his back and we just "wait." As you can imagine, everythig that has happened has had a bad effect on him and naturally he is feeling quite depressed.
The news on Alan is not encouraging. He had an operation on his neck at the beginning of January, however, despite this, there is not much sign of movement in his arms. He remans upbeat and talks of the future, however, the reality will not set in until he starts his rehab.
Suzy has not been posting as her Mum took ill and she is away staying with her. So, his Dad and I will be looking after Gary.
Gary is hoping that once he gets home he can post a message himself. However, in the meantime would like to thank everyone for their messages and prayers at what is a difficult time for the family. Having been through this 16 years ago with Gary it is 10 times harder now with him. All we can do is hope that the family can find the strength to help Alan and his wife through what is going to be a very difficult time.
Thanks for your support.

Hi Gary's Mum,
Welcome aboard. It's great to hear how Gary is doing. As a mother of a just gone 18 year old C3 complete quad my heart goes out to everybody involved at this very sad time, maybe Alan's mum might like to get in touch as well but as I have said before, just over 12 months ago I thought my world had ended after my son's RTA, however he is very optimistic for his future and I think he is doing better than I am! He has no movement whatsoever apart from his head and shoulders but is slowly getting there, Alan will as well. I think that when they are young they are more positive. Is he able to breathe on his own? Keep us informed of his progress, I think about them every day.
