robert Cray, so smooth, so sure.

I've always liked "Albatross" by Fleetwood Mac and enjoy this clip for the additional information it offers: a young Mac Fleetwood, skinny as stickman, in slo mo with gentle touch on the drums, and the beautiful interplay of the guitars complete with a grinning Peter Green, the genius composer who later scrambled his brains with drugs.

Damn Topper,
Every time I see that clip it gets me misty eyed.

I sure hope your still singing, at least. You've got one set of pipes on you. By the way, your stage presence was captivating too.

Hey- The people on this site do have some pretty good musical taste! Topperf, I watched you play, and it is so excellent. I was a musician, and everyone in my family plays at least one or two instruments, so I've been immersed in music all my life! It is still central in my life. My first instrument was piano, and I took classical lessons for 11 years. I taught myself guitar, and played mostly rhythm. I've wondered if I could play with a slide. I recently inherited my Dad's Gretch Country Gentleman hollow body, so I should experiment. Here's a nice old tune by Brian Auger's Oblivion Express:

Good piece by Auger - I also got to find out what happened to Julie Driscoll, now Julie Tippetts!

You are the MAN topper! Enjoyed your videos! Sure would have liked to see you perform.

Before my accident, my wife and I liked to go to local shows and usually ended up at the Down Home, you can check it out here: http://www.downhome.com

They featured everything from bluegrass to southern rock.

One of our favorite performers is Scott Miller (sometimes with the Commonwealth). His website is http://www.thescottmiller.com or here are some videos :

(Scott Miller & the Commonwealth)

(Just posted this one for his songwriting abilities - this one is about the US Civil War)

(Scott Miller at the Down Home - Solo)

I've got to get back out and see some shows.

Its only the 2nd time I checked this thread; its great...

I'll never be a Topper, but I've got a CD full of me singing. It was after my injury and when we had a group.

I've been trying to use Windows Movie Maker and use stills with a song, but my song wont load due to "wrong Codex"..... Whatever that means?

I'm sure you computer guys know the answer, but I'm no tech guy so use idiot proof language..... :)

Great Topper. I'll go and have another click.....

I've been working on making one of my songs into a video to place on UTube but still not got it right; come on stillfingers HELP!!!! :)

Last night I went to see a Motown show, "How Sweet It Is". I've seen lots of music concerts at our local 800 seat Theatre but this is the first time I've seen it full. Its also the first time the whole audience was up and dancing after only the fifth song.

Its 50 years since Motown started so the 4 guys sang all the Classics and danced all night; really authentic Motown.

During one song, one of the guys came off the stage and was singing to my PA who was up dancing with him; it made her night... :)

The whole audience knew the words and were singing so loud, the 4 guys stopped singing for a while and let the audience take over, singing to the great 8 piece backing band. It was a brilliant night and I've got 5 more different concerts already booked.

Below is their leaflet, which I scanned.

Phew!!!...... At last, but was it worth it.

I've now uploaded a sample of me singing a song called Heartlight.

I made a quick video using just photos, so its not top quality as this utube is all new to me.

The first photo is of our group, which was back in the late 70's early 80's; my late wife is stood behind me playing a keyboard.

Most of the other photos are of my late wife, plus some of my PA's past and present, including their children.

I recorded this and many other song years ago, so the quality is poor. .... That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it... :)

I hope this works!!!

No Jerry just exhausted, but I enjoyed the challenge of getting it on UTube.

I know its a bit rough round the edges, but now I know hows its done.

We recorded on an old Yamaha 4 track tape recorder, which I could multri-track to 9. It was all done in our spare room, each of us laying down tracks. Its a long time ago, thats why the sound quality is a bit poor.

I'm pleased I cracked getting on UTube; I shall sleep well tonight.... :)

Here is another song that touches my soul, it fueled a healing young lad, at times angered and infuriated a lost broken spirit and now gives an older man inspiration. Thank you Little River Band for your song "Cool Change" and thanks to John112655 who put wonderful images and thoughts to this song.
