So what is the best Christmas gift you've got this year? Mine was a gift certificate to my local saltwater fish store. Have a great hobby raising and growing a salt water aquarium with both fish and live coral. I'm excited to go to the store and a sea anenome.

What did you get?

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone

I got season one of Doctor Who! Woohoo! I also got my new chair a few weeks back, which was kind of like an early X-mas present. :double-puke:

I usually do a "merry christmas to ME!!" and that way, I get what I want without having to act like I like the goofy ass clothing someone else thought would look nice on me. I haven't bought my "merry christmas to ME" present yet. I did do the cruise last week, but I've got my eye on a laptop computer. I'll have to find one on a sale so I feel "justified" too.

Merry Christmas everyone!

i got lots of the usual bits and pieces, am i really an alcoholic that smells bad ?!!!!! or does everyone get loads of boozy things and smelly things?!"!!!!!! hehe
seriously i did get some nice bits including a new nintendo ds lite with brain training (to replace the one stolen when i was broken into a few weeks pre christmas) ,
but i think the most thoughtful was from one of my pa's she always bakes lots for her massively extended family, but she took the time to individually wrap a little of everything she'd baked and packed it into a goodie box for me to enjoy when i was having some me time, that was so kind, i've got sausagerolls, rum truffles, bitter choc orange discs, christmas cake, mincepies, gammon, turkey, salmon wraps, samosa's, bharges, various biscuits and sweets, amazing and so thoughtful
i'm just nipping to the fridge for a bit of me time! come here rum truffle come to mummy!!!!!!!

Haven't thought about gift "getting" for a lot of years,,,, but my kids chipped in this year and surprised me with a crossbow.

I had thought about buying myself one so I could return to archery hunting this coming year,,, but wouldn't ,,, I think<<< have bought such an expensive and high quality one for myself,,,, being the frugal sort ( see cheap).

For those of you who care about such things,, it's a Tenpoint Laser HP.........

Quite unexpected,,,,,, Quite nice..

When I was describing my "Snowball" gift to people on the phone yesterday, it sounded like I was announcing the prizes on the Price Is Right showcase showdown.

It started with a very huge flat Plasma TV. We will mount it on the wall, which means we need to get some custom made cabinets to store our stereo and media stuff. Then our big screen TV that's already in the family room, which sits on the floor will go in the master bedroom. We will put the 29" TV that's in there now, in the 1st guest bedroom and sell the armoire that we bought with the master bedroom set. Then we will need to find 2 small dressers to place on each side of the TV to make up for the lost storage space in the armoire. The 27" TV in the first guest bedroom will go in the 2nd guest bedroom and we will need to find a piece of furniture for that. We already have a 20" TV in the 3rd bedroom, which is the workout room. That TV sits on a rolling cart b/c we take it outside to watch whatever sporting event is on while we're in the pool or jacuzzi.

We thought before we hang the plasma TV, it would be a good chance to finally paint the walls in our home. In Arizona, the walls are built with rounded outer edges instead of squared, which makes it difficult to change paint colors, so we will get the common areas of the house painted one color. I also finally get hardware for my kitchen cabinets. We just haven't been able to make up our minds on that, but now we have and will get the hardware installed.

I also get a new computer that I still need to pick out since Mr. Hapa doesn't know much about what I like to use. We already have a laptop w/wireless Internet, but I have to get a new mini tower for the den since I need all the drives and burners.

I'll get to go to Dick's Sporting Goods to pick out some good walking/jogging shoes and maybe some workout outfits.

Oh and my nieces sent us a $50.00 movie pass and I'm sure we'll get to see lots of movies at the theatre b/c we have the time to go to the cheaper matinee. One niece is a fashion designer. She works in the lingerie department for a company in New York. She sent 2 pair of comfortable pajamas for me.

We were both so tired by late afternoon, we decided that I'd make our Christmas dinner tonight. Prime Rib . . . yum.

I love it. Nothing but good fun night of whiskey, with a ABBA playing in the background and a good old new dinner with some gourmet spam. that sounds like some good times to me!

Have a happy new year!

My caregivers work on it. I'm not able to see into the back but I can kind of say what to do. It's quite beautiful. I'll post some pics.

I got lots of nice gifts this Christmas. The best was from my nephew a shy 1 1/2 year old who climed on my knee for the first time and gave me a hug.
If I fall out of my wheelchair in the woods would anybody hear me?
