:) Hi, Haven't posted for a while. Family has been in crazy mode. My son who has C7 to T4 SCI has recently been on antibiotics. We noticed that after dinner his temperature was going down as low as 94.5 degrees. around four in the morning it goes back up. He doesn't complain of being cold, no shivering or anything. He may have been doing it for a while and we just were not taking his temp. his norm is usually around 97.2. Has anyone had a similar problem?

Hi Luckymom. I don't have body temperature regulation issues but have read that it is very common with higher level SCI. I tried finding some posts here but didn't come up with much. Here is one from Dr. Wise Young Mechanisms and Treatments of Hypothermia....
Boat racing accident July 2006. Still hoping for some return!

Thanks RacingAxe, Matt doesn't have good regulation of his temp. for sure. He is like a lizzard, if its too hot so is he , if too cold so is he. This change came on sudden and the temp here was accually above normal. 70 outside and 74 degrees inside. He has been off Antibiotics now for three days and his temp. seems to be getting back to his normal. Matthew is now 7 years old and loves to throw us curve balls. I will pay close attention to his temperature the next time he is on antibiotics for sure!
