Some of you may remember I had started a charity for children with Spinal Cord Injuries 2 years ago. Well the little girl that I was a buddy to has become a true part of my family. She has a complete injury at L2-L3. She went through initial rehab in Miami but they live in Deland. The therapy she is getting now in Deland her mother doesn't think is aggressive enough. She said her feet are starting to drop and there doesn't seem to be progress. Does anyone know of any rehab places in central florida that specialize with people with spinal cord injuries? Thank you

Hi,

Here's a link to the Florida Spinal Cord Injury Resource Center, there seems to be a lot of good information here, I hope it can be of help.

Hi Lisa,
I'm a Certified Spinal Cord Injury Specialist at an aggressive SCI recovery facility opening in the Central Florida area called Step It Up Recovery. I believe this is exactly what you are looking for and would love for you and the little girl you are speaking of to come visit the facility. As the facility is just opening this May, we welcome all who are interested to come see what we are about. Our website is stepituprecovery.org and my name is Malerie. Look forward to hearing from you.
