on and off for a year my son has been having UTI's, he had a Cystoscopy middle of last year and the urologist found loads of segment sitting at the bottom of the bladder. he did a washout and he was ok for 2 weeks and the uti's started again. got another Cystoscopy couple of weeks ago and same story

his urine is once again stinking and I mean really really bad. doc just phoned to say the urine sample was negative and wonders if he isn't managing to pass all of the urine in his bladder hence the smell. doc not a specialist on spinal so is unsure what to advise

cant discribe how bad the smell is so was really shocked to hear he didn't have an infection.

anyone else had the same and can help

we have tried cranberry ( for the doc to day we have been wasting our money) D-mamoose, vitiman C

Hello Scottie -

First, get hooked up with a certified urologist. A general practitioner is great for the occasional flu bug and broken arm, but with this stuff - you've got to have the best. No disrespect to your doc - he just doesn't have sufficient knowledge/experience base.

Good luck

thanks Lynn it was the certified urologist that did the 2 Cystoscopys, waiting on another appoitment with him, inthe meantime all of the urine samples have to go the gp who said they came back negative, when I dipped the urine it did show something so unsure what is going on
