Hey all, I've been diagnosed with having ADD.

I went on methelphenidate (spelling?) which is the stimulant mostly prescribed, it comes in RITALIN, CONCERTA, and other forums.

I tried ritalin, and concerta (not the same time) Has anyone else ever used em?

These are stimulants... and the affect they have on me is good (attention-wise) but HORRIBLE in
A) Spasms. My spasms increase 3 fold.
:) Urination. I end up having to catheterize every hour or two until the meds ware off! I use a catheter, and have no control, but I can usually 'sense' it as I get a numbness rush through my body telling me 'GOTTA GO GOTTA GO GOTTA GO RIGHT NOW'

just thought I'd share my experience.

My fav ADD quote "I dont have ADD, I just Do you like waffles?" no one's prob going to get it but oh well. Any ways i had ADD when i was in school an they had me on adderall an never noticed my spasms increase. I stoped taking it tho. Swordfish is an idiot ( haha just making sure your ADD didn't kick in an your off in space some were) I heard storys about it messing up your heart an so i figured the cons out weigh the pros. I dont know if its true about it messing up your heart so i would ask your dr.

Swordfish . . . have you considered finding a solution to your disorder through a change in diet?

There is a direct link between the attention disorders and the intake of modern, packaged, processed and junk foods / drinks. Changing to a fresh produce diet (fresh vegetables, fruit, non carbonated drinks, etc) will immediately lead to an improvement. Remember, if any of your current food comes in a box, packet or bottle it ISN'T fresh!

Going the healthy diet route is way better than taking any of the abovementioned drugs!
