I'm a C6 and everytime I get up into my chair if my hips are not perfectly staight or am squiff just a fraction, my legs and hips feel like they are on fire, or a very bad case of pins and needles. Also for the past week everyday after about half an hour sitting up, my head, shoulders and arms cover over with goosebumps, along with a hot flush and sweats that come in waves. I am on medication to stop my sweats anyway, so I'm presuming thats why I get goosebumps as oppose to sweating buckets. I've a suspicion it's something to do with my SP catheter, but then it hasn't happened this severely since I had my accident. Can anyone shed light on this for me?

Sounds like all the symptoms of a laceration/sore/cut/wound, has anyone checked your tailbone for a pressure sore?

It could be due to trauma around the catheter site.

Has the catheter been changed lately, or are you wearing tight trousers which could be putting pressure on the catheter site.

If it's been a while since the catheter was changed, it could be a sign that it needs changing.

Regards

The goosebumps, sweats, and hot flashes sound like autonomic dysreflexia...my husband is a C6 complete as well and that is how his body reacted when something wasn't right....(he wasn't sitting right in his chair, or he was siiting on the "boys")......just a thought....
God will never give me anything that I cannot handle.....I just wish he didn't trust me so much!
