Hello
I had one 10 years ago but I got fed up waiting to go in a spinal centre so I went into a general hospital,
that was a big mistake.
they did not have any experence of how to handle a spinal injured person,
but I servived,
but it was one the best thing I have had done,
go for it.

Mic,
I had mine done here in the States. It's routinely done when having a sacral flap surgery. It didn't go off without a hitch though. After five days of no bowel movement, well no solids anyway, I coded blue. After reviving me, slit me open and found there was a half twist in my large intestine. The surgeons then cut out three and a half feet of gangrene. I recovered quickly and started an ostomy program that is cleaner and less intrusive. Iwould reccomend it. Mark
