Lads and Ladies,
It's been months since I last posted or visited, and I've missed being here. I've missed the friendly banter, the thought-provoking posts, and the daily smiles, and I'm glad I can finally post and read here again.

The past few months have been tough. For a while, I couldn't post, then there was a period when I could've been on here, but every day, I'd say to myself that I was still in such a negative place... I kept saying that I'd wait until I was doing better, then come back. Start when I was in a good mood.

Which is pretty dumb, because the point of a support network is to be able to go there when you're feeling bad as well as when you're in the mood for a laugh.

Anyway, then I couldn't post again for a while, and now, here I am.

I'm sorry I vanished and gave no sign of life for so long, and I'm looking forward to catching up with you all over the next few weeks. I hope you've all been well, and I hope never to vanish like that again.

Derek.

Thanks for the welcome, E-Dog. Missed you!

For some of the time, I was in hospital with a newly acquired SCI, then I was busy trying to find a new job, deal with new pt and therapy regimes, then I ended up back in hospital again. I also spent a lot of time feeling sorry for myself, which in my case usually means being very withdrawn and not contacting anyone.

I'm doing better now.
