Hi im a c4/5 quad for 21 years. I have not been well for the last 5 years. My bowel routine is non existant. I need to get back on track with my bowel regime. At the moment im lucky if i have a bowel movement once a week. My diet is not the best, but its not the worst. I feel very bloated all the time and get no relief. My spinal unit suggested 2 senna tablets the night before a bisacodol enema, and a movicol sachet every other day. The bisacodol enema itself drives me mad as it makes me feel like garbage. I would like some suggestions to kickstart the process of getting back to my regular 3 days a week routine. All suggestions welcome.

Thanks

Davey.

prume juice at nigth you could try pre colase or colase but precolase is stroger.I do my bowel program everyday and its good.I take 2 precolase 1 in the morning and 1 at nigth and before going to bed I take prum juice and I get good results.I get contipated ones in a while but its normal when that happens I take milk of magnesium or 3 ducolax pil before going to bed but make sure if you drinks the ducolax pills at nigth to wear a diper if you got cause you are gona poop alat during the nigth.Good luck with that bloating.

What was the routine you used for the first 16 years???? If it worked that long it must have been pretty good.

Apparantly there have been some other changes in your life..... If those are sorted out you may fall back into step...

A lot of people swear by the magic bullet,,,, if you are out of the US,, the peristeen system (kinda like an enema) is well thought of,,,, we can't get it yet in the US,,,FDA and all.

I don't like to take anything,,, orally or anally,,,For me, firmer is better,,,,, I'd rather dig it out than wear it. But still,, I do my bm every day,,,, so you may have to do something to get it moving.
As you well know,,, getting your bowels in order is a pain in the ass,,, good luck.
