My wife and I have booked a trip to Oahu, HI for our honeymoon that is 1.5+ years over due. So we are staying at the Aston Waikiki beach hotel and have planned a few things to due. I wanted to get some more insight about what else there is to do that is accessible.

So far we have planned:
1) Polynesian Cultural center
2) Pearl Harbor Memorial
3) US Arizona Memorial
4) Hawaii State Museum
5) Honolulu Acadamy of Arts
6) North Shore for a sunset
7) Dole Plantation
8) Byodo_In Temple
9) Maybe swim with the dolphins.

Another other ideas for things to do would be great, hopefully things that are free and or cheap. Also, is Diamond Head an accessible hike? I also read I can just drive to the top, is that true? I'd like to watch a sunset on Diamond Head if I could. Thanks.

I'm heading to Hawaii on the 1st of April this year with a bunch of friends, and one of them found out that there is a place that rents out beach wheelchairs - I'll ask him for the link, I know it was on the hawaii.gov web site under the Travel Oahu section.

That's the link I have, although it's a link for a download, not for a web page, so if you click it, it's going to download and open the page on your computer.

Hi, I did Hawaii myself a couple of years ago - Fanstastic place and i'm sure you'll love it!

1) Polynesian Cultural center - tickets tend to be expensive & very touristy!
2) Pearl Harbor Memorial - a must!
3) US Arizona Memorial - another must and best combined with Pearl Harbour
4) Hawaii State Museum - nice day out.

9) Maybe swim with the dolphins. - Can't miss that one!

We used public transport everywhere, it was every cheap and easy to get around along with a company called Roberts http://www.robertshawaii.com/ who do coach tours.

We did the following:

http://www.robertsha...harbor-city.php

and http://www.robertsha...rcle-island.php

We got the local bus up Diamond Head (well, as far as it went) and to the dolphin center.

Did lots of shopping and had a great time as we stopped off in Las Vegas on the way there and San Fran on the way home.
