I'm quite sure yuo'll need to talk with them. Maybe make some sort of voluntary arrangement of a very very small amout a month? You could ask if they could freeze your account for a time period, maybe?

What can they do????? Well, if you aren't using them and don,t intend to borrow money in the future,,,,, about all they can do is put a lien on your house,, so that when you sell it they will get their money,,, plus interest,,,or they could also get a judgement against you in court and then a sheriff's sale of any property you own (cars, boats, tv, stereo, etc).

Most credit card companies have programs in place to deal with situations like yours,,,, but you have to ask,,, they won't call you, except to get their money. And make it quick,,, before the interest gets bigger than the original purchases,,,,,, some of their default rates are above 30%.

Mitch, if you have even ONE testicle left, you may want to run and hide somewhere. Otherwise you're gonna be singin' falsetto right quick.
I do know some people, very nice people who from time to time will purchase odds and ends, here and there. I mean nature DID give you two kidneys after all. Am I right?

What the hell ya gonna do with TWO kidneys? It's just a waste. Might as well dump one now; it's for a good cause after all. And I'll get you a great price.
Hey, I'm just tryin' to help you save that one last testicle. I make no commission on body parts, internal organs etc. My money comes from the after sale. Stolen x-ray machines, wheelchairs, etc.

Forgive me. The above is nothing more than a load of fallacious poppycock intended to fool those who would have me confined to a rubber ramada inn.

I owed about 15 grand right before my injury to a Visa card. In rehab for 6-7 months, I was unable to make any payments. Somehow they found me at the VA and with a whole lot of fast ass talking I got 'em down to around three and a half grand.

Fact is, anything is better than nothing and that's what they would have gotten had they not played ball with me. Ya gotta be tough though. They'll try to railroad you big-time.

I never have enough money either. But my Mom helps me with money when I don't have enough (just about every month).

I would also advise you to make arrangements with the company. Paying the balance may such but not as bad as loosing the roof over your head.

I was under the impression the Department Of Rehabilitation would pay for things to help you go to school or get/keep a job. But I'm in California so maybe DOR does different things in different states.
