Hey guys I was write a post a few months ago asking for help on how to say my marriage. My husband, SCI T8 complete, and I were having problems and I didn't know what to do. Well you all helped with some GREAT info and I wanted to say thanks to you all for that. I wanted to also take a moment and tell you that in the last few weeks things have been MUCH better. He made the comment last night that he is "just sick and tired of being sick and tired". He has been more active in his peer volunteer program, he has been working out more, he has been looking into bike racing, and he has just been his "old" self again. I have been so happy about it. Last night when I heard him say the comment it seemed like that was the best thing I had ever heard. I know we still have some ways to go but I feel much better about everything and it seems so much more hopeful and I am not feeling like are marriage is in trouble instead I am feeling more like we are finally getting back closer again. Just wanted to share the good news with all of you. Thanks
Brandie

Brandy,
I am so glad to hear things are getting better and you are getting closer again. My husband ins a T9 complete for 5 years now. I was 26 years old at the time of his accident with a 6 month old daughter. It was hard for us as well and we too grew apart. I even moved out for awhile after the first 3 years of things not changing between us...only getting worse. I moved back home in hopes for a successful go at things. We have decided to go our seperate ways because we are such different people now but we continue to be friends so far. I wish you and your husband the best!!!

Brandie, it sounds like everything is improving. Hopefully you are patient with him in his transition to better himself. It will be a long road ahead still. Just remember, communication is key. My wife and I communicate about everything to ensure we always understand each other and each other's needs.
