Olfactory Mucosa Autograft Transplantation. It's worth a look. More for sensory function than motor function, but still interesting. It was started in Lisbon, Portugal, by Dr Carlos Lima. Just interesting that the clinical trials there started in 2001, and there are some interesting findings in the clinical trial reports. I have the pdf copies if anybody is interested in reading them. There is also something going on in Russia, so look for it as well. I have met someone who has been to Russia for treatment, and it has helped with circulation and sensory function. For a first person account of the treatments in Russia, visit watchmewalk.com

re: Lima and Russia
Dr Lima's success with treating SCI is fairly amazing and there is a large amount of documentation to support it.
Here is the link to the best version of the paper -

I am gathering some info on one of his recent successes and will post it asap.
The Russian stem cell clinic is most likely CICT - the Center for Immunotherapy and Cellular Technology in Russia. I have less info on them but I hear good things. They are closed until the spring so if you don't get a response, one should be forthcoming in the next few months.
