Hi everyone,
I am trying to plan my next holiday, and am very interested in going to dubai. I am tetraplegic at level c6/c7. I have a supra pubic catheter. I have some carers to assist with certain things, however they are not able to change a supra pubic if needs be. Is this form of catheterisation recognized through out the world? Does anyone know if their hospitals would be familiar with spinal patients and supra pubic catheters? My catheter has only blocked once in 18 months, however i would like to be certain that if a blockage was to happen, it could be dealt with, without causing further complications. Has anyone had any experience in dubai? Any response would be much appreciated.
Many thanks.
Oli

The UAE has excellent hospitals, compared to the rest of the region, the central district of Dubai especially so... I really would'nt worry about it, i've been going there since 95 and have never had any issues while in country.

i broke my back in Dubai.
They have very good hospitals. I was at the nureosurgical unit on Sheik Zayed Road before coming back to the UK.
