I am a C4 quad living in Florida. I am a legal resident but not a Citizen. I have a caregiver that comes in everyday. I have been paying them directly for the last 3 years. I was hurt 15 years ago in Canada and had funding there but do not get it anymore since moving to the states. Like everyone else in todays economy it is harder and harder to personally pay for care. Does anyone know if I am eligible for any sort of funding or disability when I am not a citizen and not a new injury?

Thanks for any input.

Bill

Hi Bill,
Not sure if there is anything that you would qualify for, but the first place I'd check is Florida's Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Program. Like most everything else they are woefully underfunded but at least they might give you some leads.

Best of luck!
