Hey all, i'm usually very picky about the clothes I wear. However over the course of this winter, i've come to the conclusion that it would be good to try out some clothes that had certain adaptations to make life easier. Does anyone here have any experience with adaptive clothing? I found a website that looked as if it might have some good stuff, has anyone gone through this website before?

Hi there.
I have never really wanted to change my cloths ( i dont mean i keep my cloths on and never take them off LOL ) i just buy jogging bottoms or combats, and normal shirts and t-shirts and tops, the only thing i have to make life easier is velcro fastening trainers maybe i am just lazy and cant be arsed doing up laces but they make it easier to get them on an off.
I can see the advatages of some adaptive clothes but i manage with normal gear and knowing my luck if i got pants with velcro down the sides i would end up with my butt hanging out an not even realise LOL
Si

About the only adapted clothes I use are jeans I buy from USA JEANS,,, they are higher in the back,, no back pockets,, longer zipper,, and wide elastic at the waist....They work pretty well for me.
JC Penneys has some pants with draw string waists that are otherwise cut like any other,,, I wear a lot of cords but they have khacki, too.
I look for my shirts in the big and tall sections,,, the extra length help keep me covered,,, I don't tuck,,,, I like to think it hides the belly,,,,, hey, my illusions are my own...

The jeans I found at that site seemed to be pretty killer. They come with a elastic waits, high rise in the back for those of us in wheelchairs, waist mounted loop holes to make getting dressed easier for us para's/quads, baggy design to accommodate leg bag's & braces, snaps up the inseam of the legs for easier changing and best of all very reasonable prices!...I'm really stoked to have found them, i'll definitely be giving them a review when I get them and try them out...I'll keep you guy's posted as to whether they are worth it.
