Clonidine For Neuro Pain

I was wondering if anyone has any experience taking Clonidine (Dixarit) tablets. I had an appointment with a chronic pain consultant, he has given me a prescription saying that he has seen good results with it but I am struggling to find much information on it. Even the information leaflet says very little.
