Lyrica - What's Your Dosage? Seems like there's mixed opinions about this...

Hey all...
I haven't posted much here, but log in to read up on various things occasionally, this place is a great resource!
Anyway, my accident was in November 2006, I'm T6 complete.
So it's been a little over 2 years now. When I got out of rehab in July 2007 I was on 300mg of Lyrica four times a day. It made me pretty drowsy in the beginning, but I gradually adjusted to it, and didn't suffer from the drowsiness any longer, and was almost completely pain free on that dosage.
A month or so ago I dropped back to 300mg three times a day, and was coping ok, so the last few days I've dropped back to just twice a day. I certainly know about it by the end of each 12hr stretch, but I will persist with it I think.
I'm asking what dosage other people are on because I was speaking to a friend this week who is a T5 para, and he suffers with incredible pain which serverely impacts on his quality of life. He keeps a journal of his pain levels, and has tried everything his doc's have thrown at him, but he has recorded just 5 days with low pain levels over the course of 2 years.
He is on an extremely low dose of Lyrica compared to me, and it just seems crazy to me that I have been able to get out and about, and LIVE LIFE... I've been skiing, camping, scuba diving, riding motorbikes and just generally socialising, while he has been virtually house-bound for two years.
IT"S NOT FAIR!!!
I feel so sad for him :-(

I take 525mg a day but i split it into three doses of 175mg, I found this more effective than taking it twice a day

I was taking 150mg twice a day. Currently I take none. I just couldn't get past the side effects.
