My husband wants to insure his wheelchair which is powered by E-Fix system. He is insured for use at home but not when he is out, or if we travel abroard
Has anyone insured similar? Who did you use?

Hi,
I am going to be insuring my chair and Yamaha JW-II wheels with Chartwell Insurance:
http://www.chartwell...powerchairs.htm
They will do clauses which will insure add-on wheels when NOT attached to your chair and when it is in the car (the latter for a small extra cost). The chair/wheels will be insured outside of the home (as well as in the home!)
Fish Insurance WON'T insure add-on wheels UNLESS they are attached ALL the time (i.e. I've been told that if they are taken off, they will not be insured at that point! This negates the idea of the power add-on wheels in my opinion!)
I hope you find a solution for your Husband!
Best wishes,
Cat
