Hi everyone,
I am new here and new to the whole realm of SCI. My husband had a Spinal Cord Infarction Jan 5, 2009 and it has definately changed our lives. He was affected in the T12-L2 region. He has gained some feeling back, but not much movement. He has to cath himself every 4-6 hours and he cannot control his bowels. I didn't realize how much info is out there in cyber-space about SCI, but I am learning new things every day. Just wanted to say hi and am enjoying reading the posts.

Hi, I'm new here too. My husband had an accident on his motorbike last october and now has a T4 injury. What is the worst thing is that he is still in so much pain at times. It's so hard to help him. He is also isolated in hospital because of mrsa. Has anyone got any suggestions about how to deal with pain............does it ever go? Also any tips on getting rid of mrsa from the bladder.

Hi everybody.
My dad has been a C4/5 quad for the last 26 years and for the most part he was reasonably healthy but lately has taken a real downward spiral health-wise. My mum has been looking after him single-handedly (apart from morning carer visits to shower/wash dad) and she is really starting to struggle with the lifting, turning, etc. My sister and I are really worried about both of them and we are always looking for help and advice which is how I found you guys
So I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I'm gonna go trawl the forum topics for info now
Cheers
Jo
