well to start off im 19 yrs old my name is priscilla my husbands name is jerry
he had an accicent on sep 6 2006 which left him with a T-5 incomplete injury
we have been together since. I love him to death and there is nothing i wouldnt do for him. We were searching the web when all of sudden he found this gym for sci people in san antonio its called Pressing On and we decided to go and check it out. The gym actually helped out a lot in transferring and stuff but we werent seeing a change. So we decided to go a little bit further. We started searching on stem cell treatment and guess what...we actually found a place in mexico right across from where we live. We live in Texas in the Rio Grande Vallery and mexico is like 2 miles away from our home. So we ended up going to the clinic and we met Dr. Omar Gonzalez. He did stem cell treatment and placenta implants and so far my husband has improved so much he can control his bowels now he can also control his bladder he moves his legs more and he has more sensation in his legs. Everything is going pretty good for us. Me and my husband have more hope we are cristians and first of all i want to thank god for making all this possible because without him we are nothing. Whats impossible for us its possible for him. All we have to do is believe in him and everything will be okay. If yall have any questions about the stem cell treatment or any other questions message me and i will be more than happy to answer them.

A lot of women go there for simple plastic surgery procedures and come back in body bags.....
They can't even clean their drinking water......

Sci-fiction turns Sci-fact as Dr. Omar Gonzalez performs 'miracles' in 30 minutes to provide effective and economical biological solutions with stem cell transplantation therapy.
Wow, all yours for the low, low price of 50 pesos and you get a free burrito with every injection for a limited time only! Bottom line, I distrust anyone making such wild claims. If these were true, why hasn't this guy won a Nobel prize yet, and why isn't the greater scientific community aware of what he is doing and duplicating his results? An example would be Jonas Salk and his vaccine for polio. When a scientist finds something that benefits mankind, they share their research with the world. Charlatans hide.
I found this forum on ALS victims that are talking about stem cells. They have some interesting things to say...

So, go ahead, give it a try, and find out what they can take from you. How much does this treatment cost?
If your bf Jerry is gaining sensation back, one would have to ask whether he would have gained it within the time frame post injury REGARDLESS of seeing some placenta implant doctor. By the way, I visited his home page, and NOWHERE is SCI implantation mentioned. But it aparently heals Cancer, Alzheimers, Arthritis, ad infenitum . . . . . BS!!!

All's I'm saying is that if you saved your money and just allowed the body to heal naturally, who's to say what you call progress through this procedure wouldn't have happened anyway? Because your bf is still a newer injury, you can't differentiate between your natural prayers and hard work at therapy vs. these Placenta Cells helping his progress.
You misunderstood my comments. I'm glad your bf's walking, but it's my opinion that saving your money and not stepping foot over the border would have given you the same results anyway. Except, there are undertones of a placebo affect happening also.

I don't want to use PMs, tho,, because I think there are many here who would like to know as much as I do.
You will,, I hope,,, bear with those who have trouble believing what you say,,,,, we have all been deceived before,, and some are a little hard to convince,,,, but we are all interested.
So please,,, tell us the whole story,,, so we can make up our own minds.

How long after injury did his treatment begin?
Where were the stem cells obtained?
How long after treatment did he show improvement?
What were his improvements?
Name and address of person you contacted to get started?
How much, and to who, did you pay, (or did someone else pay)?
How and where ( anatomically) were the cells administered?
Was he an incomplete before treatment?
You may have answered some of this already,, but I was on a roll.

How long did your man attend Pressing on, how many months, how many hrs a week?
How long did you wait between pressing on and surgery?
Did the surgeon suggest your husband go back to therapy after the surgery, or is just getting random returns without the P.T?

wow those are alot of questions lol...okay let me start
the treatments started 2yrs post injury acouple of months ago
the stem cells were obtained in monterrey nl with a licenced doctor and licenced clinic
he got stem cells acouple of months ago and he started showing improvements like 2 weeks after the treatment
his improvements are reduced spacticity, bladder and bowel control, better blood circulation, voluntary movements (without spasm)
well actually found the doctor by searching the internet no one told us about him my husband saw the doctor in our local news website and thats how we contacted him and about the price he customizes the treatments according to ability and body of the patients.
its a series of injections of placenta implants around the injury site. Also my husband was an incomplete before the treatments.
i have pictures of the procedures but i dont know how to post them

To add too Edlees Questions,...

Did the surgeon suggest your husband go back to therapy after the surgery, or is just getting random returns without the P.T?

I didn't see an answer to the second part of Ches' question . . . so I'm gonna ask it again. Did your husband go back to therapy after the surgery? If you could provide that info (in detail), I would have great interest in knowing what he did . . . how often . . . etc.
BTW . . . I live on the Border of Mex in AZ (have for over 22 years) . . . I even speak a little espanol . . . there is no way to really know if it's a licensed doc . . . no such governing board in good 'ol Mexico exists, so it's real easy for anyone to just kind of "decide" to be a doc there.
Not trying to be negative . . . just cautious. I've personally seen some of the medical mess-ups (1 a good friend of mine) that come back from Mexico. You have absolutely NO recourse in Mexico . . . and I have seen that once they mess you up . . . most U.S docs won't touch you after, because they don't want to risk being liable for it.
I'm happy for your husband that he is doing so well . . . I'm also a little concerned that he will be returning to Mexico for more treatments, risking the chance for a not-so-good outcome next time. Illinois Boy is 100% right . . . they can't even clean their drinking water . . . of course, I tend to believe they WON'T even clean the water . . . they don't have to . . . no governing body there either, to MAKE them. Worth considering.
Good Luck,
Joye

Miracle cures are high voltage discussions.
Poor grammar and spelling do not prompt belief and trust.
Return to weight loss- I work out as much as I can- I'm one year post injury, can walk a little, climb stairs once a day, and use an exersize bike for 40 minutes. i was 123 lbs pre accident and am now 108 lbs. No one else in rehab had this problem. I eat tons of high cal food and it doesn't help. It is frustrating for the reason the first poster mentioned- having no padding is painful.

Hi
My injury is T-5 incomplete Asia D, the result of a haemorrhage july last year. I walk, but not well, and have some control over my bowel and bladder. I am desperate to get my life back. I have looked into some different stem cell treatments but have had negative responses from doctors here in Australia. Has Jerry continued to improve since march when you posted this? Were the cells used embryo or were they taken from him? I've heard mixed things on which is safer. Doctors here have said I should wait until more research is done but they don't have to live with a spinal cord injury.

INCOMPLETE
That truely means anything can happen
Maybe back in 73 if stemcell stuff was available
Lets just say I have a open mind on this topic
What I realy want to see though is major goverments developments on this issue and the final dumping of we cant do that attitude
Keep us posted - but remember your recovery may not have needed stemcell - just natural hard work

My guess is that 75% of people's progress is still due to the PT and (in China) daily acupuncture that patients get.
I think about going sometimes, but am yet to do the deep research. Then there is $...
The argument "but what is walking worth to you..." is so much BS. I am interested in odds. If a clinic is getting improvement for 60% of its patients in nerve sensitivity, I don't care. I have enough to keep me out of trouble. If only 10% of their patients get improvement in bladder and bowel function, and 30 to 40% in mobility, those odds are still long ones if I am thinking about putting up a full year's income.
My strategy for now is intensive PT at home and weekly acupuncture until the research looks a little stronger.

I don't meed to be a bummers, but a few things I just couldn't pass up. First is that her accident is less then 2 years and she is starting to get some feeling in her butt. That return could continue to improve and come in without this treatment, however since she is getting this treatment, if she does continue to get returns(which is great), it can't be said whether they would have came any way or our due to the treatments as the 3 year window is what most people look at on how long you get the majority of your returns. So it could turn out great, but that will then have her and your family praising these treatements from Mexico, which could have been shots of sugar water for all we know and she could still get the returns.
Second, I am sorry that you had to take care of a paraplegic, I have taken care of one for 19 years now, however at the T12, there is not really any care your niece should need. Mine is higher and I can easily take care of myself. I'm not trying to say that on one has been taking care of her, just that there are people much worse off that take care of themselves and at her injury level if she is not completely independent by now then she made need to be pushed a little harder.
I hope the treatments work out for all that have them, but you would never get me to go down to Mexico to have some guy shoot me up with anything. People die down there yearly for plastic surgery procedures and even some have had major issues with simple botox injections.

This is soooo important! I am incomplete and got back stuff steadily for 5 years am still getting returns 24 years post and it cost me nothing but hard work!
You say he felt improvement after two weeks well that's great for him but it bears no resemblance to reality, think about it, a sprained ankle or a cut or graze takes longer to heal. Some stem cells in a transfusion simply couldn't work in that time.
You dont know (nobody knows yet what stem cells will do once injected. Remeber they can become anything thats what they do they don't just think "OH heres a broken back I'll work on that" they can as easily become tumors, scars, a second head for all we know!
I am afraid that stem cell therapy isnt really with us yet and certainly isn't in third world countries. This is snake oil, hope and flannel wrapped up and served to frightened desperate people to seperate them from their cash.
Don't get me wrong I am happy about his improvement I really am but I would need some real peer reveiwed eveidence to accept it's the treatment.
