Accident - Looking For Info

Newbie here...lookie for information regarding my condition and recovery. Had a car accident recently where I was struck on drivers side which has left my left lower side mostly paralized. MRI's and CAT Scans are good...nothing broken or buldging, etc. however diagnosis is Spinal Concussion with nerve/muscle damage. Dr says they can not do EMG for 6 wks to pinpoint the exact area of damage. PT has started, and have been told it will take a long time, if at all to regain movement, etc.
Any ideas or suggestions of where I could get info on what has happened would be greatly appreciated. Good Day.
