Family and Friends,

For those of you who have not yet heard, Steve passed away on Tuesday 17th March 2009, evening in Arizona after battling pneumonia and its complications for two months. He was peaceful and surrounded by loved ones in his final moments, as he was throughout his life.

There is very little for me to say as consolation to any of us, except the obvious: We are all Better for having known him. Steve was a force. Still is. The world is poorer without him.

Because Steve had such long and deep connections with so many people and places, there will be three occasions in the coming months for us to gather together and celebrate him. All the information is below; please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you have. Also, I'm certain this mailing list is grossly incomplete. Please forward this message along to anyone I have missed.

Sunday, March 29, TUCSON, AZ: Gathering at the Santa Cruz Wetlands for a release of doves, scattering of ashes, music, and memories. Contact Denice for details: deniceo@longrealty.com

Saturday, May 2, RIDGEWOOD, NJ: 11 a.m., Valleau Cemetery (E. Glen Ave. between Route 17 and N. Pleasant Ave.). Eulogy, story-telling, ashes at gravesite. Directly following this service, we will all gather at Laura Caldwell's, 342 Cedar Hill Ave. in Wyckoff, to celebrate Steve's life.

Sunday, May 24, REDWOOD, NY: 2 p.m., Better Farm (31060 Cottage Hill Road, Redwood NY 13679). Barbecue, slide show, projectors, music, story-telling, scattering of ashes at the farm.

Nicole.

(For those of you who didn't know Steve (Coach), he was the author of a number of books, which are hosted on the forum here: http://www.apparelyz...hp?showforum=34 )

We roll.
We roll on.
Then we roll on home.

Steve (coach) and I never spoke.
But I like what he wrote.
And I'll remember it with a smile.
