Hello -

Stripped out the screw slot in my left caster axle. Hangin' together with good ol' duct tape - so far, so good. Do I have to contact TiLite for the pin or is there another way? The local w/c ctr had pins - but all the wrong size.

Gimme a holler.

Thanks

Lynn

What casters do you have? Are they the original TiLites, or are they froglegs, or aftermarket replacements? If they are TiLites that came on it, then you probably have to get a TiLite rep on the phone. Froglegs are different, and most aftermarket replacements are too.

Casters are 5" after market. Axles (pins) are the same - used same spindle piece as original. No frogs on front; just the back (not frogs, but equivalent).
Think I'll have to make the call. Shipping, etc. You'd think that Sacramento, CA - as large a city as it is - would have something in one of its wc stores. Nope. Dammit.

Thanks anyway

Houston, San Antonio, and Austin seem about the same.

I hate that. Half the places I tried to call about new casters for my old Quickie GPV didn't know what a GPV was. These were people who sell Quickie, Invacare, and TiLite. It's annoying.

Best of luck,

JAX

Tho't it was just the crazy CA budget crisis ... was gonna cut Sac a little slack; not now. Sounds like TiLite's sleepin' on the job. How 'bout we apply for a job as customer service reps to our respective areas?! Quickie and TiLite need all the help they can get!

I'm half serious about that now that I think about it a little. I'd be hard pressed to travel to customers' homes - do the field rep bit. But I sure as hell could be a consultant by phone ... Almost worth lookin' into .... hmmm. Of course, the damn govt would take my Soc Sec check if I did that. Catch 22 or somethin'.

Good luck to us both ... and everybody else out there having the same trouble!
