Hi,
I am waiting for a operation on my shoulder 'sub acromial decompression, poss small tendon tear, I am a quad C6/7 and wondering what the expected recovery progression times might be and how best to prepare prior to operation.
Anyone with experience of the average time span from operation to independent transfer stage.
Any thoughts gratefully received.
Mike

I'm trying to avoid surgery on mine and have been looking at possible alternatives. Just Google rotator cuff surgery. There's even a video of it being done on youtube. From what I've read and depending on what is done and how its done it looks like it can take up to nine months to fully recover. That's worst case though.

I've had surgery on knees and shoulder. I thought recovery from the knee procedures were painful enough, but they were eclipsed by the shoulder surgery. So if you have feeling, be prepared for a considerable amount of pain in the first week or so.
