Hey everyone, sorry I have been MIA, have been working on the fashion line! Everything has been going really well and if you have a myspace you can keep up to date with what's going on through the blog.

I am looking for disabled woman that would be interested in helping us out for our first photo shoot for the fall line that will be debuted June 1! If you know of anyone in the Dallas area, please please message me or e-mail me at info@heelswithwheels.com thank you so much for your support!

Hmm -- now then --- err --ahem Being disabled (truncal ataxia and spinal cord lesions) I am also gender dysphoric, meaning of course that I love to wear dresses. The main problem was finding nice dresses in larger sizes -- ( yes, I know missus we all have that problem). Anyway I taught myself to design and make dresses that would look right worn by a transvestite sitting in a wheelchair. I have had some quite good success. I have used the flickr site to record pictures of my work, which, incidently are totally handsewn sit I cannot sit at a machine table unsupported. I found that the styles of the 50's era were the best for hiding the disabilty. I had most pictures taken whilst standing but it is obvious by the position of my arms that I am doing a balancing act

I went to Flicker and your dresses are gorgeous, Jackie. You are in good company as women sewed everything by hand before this modern era. I'm about to hem up my first pr of pants post gimp just cuz I cannot make it up the stairs to the machine right now. But you, you are an artiste. Great shoes. My hubby is a cross-dresser and it turns me on big time.
Look! It's a snail! It's a sloth! Able to creep short distances before lunch!

Can't wait to see the clothing line-I think it's an awesome thing to pursue. If I lived closer I would volunteer to help with whatever but I will definitly support ya from Georgia!

I really appreciate that... for those that have been following this journey with me knows the ups and downs I have been going through/went through. It's not an easy task but I am so ready to get this thing started! I'm glad to hear that GA is a supporter!
