I am thinking about buying a recumbent trike. I currently have a pushbike but I am having problems with pressure sores and due to reconstructive surgery in that area the seat is causing damage and bladder problems. I am thinking of a recumbent trike to replace my bike and wonder if anyone else rides one.

On another note, I have been trying to find out if anyone has tried to enter one in a wheelchair event such as a fun run or marathon or seen one in an event. I tried to find out if I could enter in a fun run a while ago in the wheelchair section but they just didn't reply to my email. I do know that a recumbent trike is not a wheelchair but there are not many biking or exercise options out there as far as us walking paras are concerned, especially in a country of only four million people. I suppose I just want to find a non water based sport where I can get lower body exercise without either being too slow to comptete or totally uncompetitive either.
