My local Theatre is only 6 miles away and has great access.
They also have a great mix of acts, so for me its a good night out.
To get to Nottingham from here would take just over an hour, so I'm quite happy with my local Theatre.
I've been to 17 concerts this year and already booked to see Paul Carrack in January; its a brilliant show.
I've got this booked for 22nd October; Talon, Eagles Tribute Group.
Hotel California; its a Classic.

I went ti Wembley Arena on Friday and while the gig was amazing, the parking is not good. It's not as near the arena as it used to be and there's a distinct lack of lowered curbs so you end up wheeling on the road, trying to avoid cars! It's £10 to park too!!

I went and saw The Nutcracker, though not exactly a concert it was amazing!
Hey Trin, I've just seen the Nutcracker performed by the Moscow Ballet. I've already booked for Swan Lake next October; if I live that long.

The cool thing about the Pagent is the accesible seating there is right up front center right to the stage, and a little bar is to the right, and bathrooms are right next to that.

Yes, November 2010 seems a scary long time away!!
I just booked to see Peter Kay just at the NIA. I stupidly forgot friday morning and they'd all gone by the time I remembered, but she suggested I should call on Monday which I've just done and hey presto there are wheelchair tickets available.
Thing is its for April 2011!! yes 2011!!
and no free ticket for the carer available either. So thats £70 for the 2.
Now, my tickets for Billy Connolly in January seem a lot better value, thanks Guido for that pointer, £25 for both the wheelchair + carer. That'll be a lot more laughs to the £!!

Beyonce, Jamiroqui, kings of leon and aerosmith on consecutive nights!
(they was at the Abu Dhabi grand prix though, so almost off topic as it was a sporting event, with concerts after!! pretty awesome...great accessibility at the whole circuit!)

Also got Romeo & Juliet ballet tickets (by Royal Ballet) - wouldn't be able to afford it without the wheelchair! Some of these organisations are pretty generous.

I will add my bit:
Jack Johnson and Paulo Natuni at the Eden Project (I know I am biased but possibly the best outdoor venue in the world when dry!)
James Morrison in Truro. A Cornish boy made good!
Swan Lake (Matthew Bourne's version) - Seeing my nephew play the lead prince along with his girlfriend playing a good role.
Newton Faulkner et al at the Newquay Boardmasters surf festival.
It may been a long winter but you have to make the most of summer in God's county.
