Hello all -

Well, we're gonna do it! My g/f and I are taking off this spring to an as yet undisclosed (unknown) location to hold our own nuptials. And - no - you're not invited! Not even my good buddies nomis and E-Dog.

So, why the post? We want a place in the desert. The southwestern US. We want accessiblility of course (I'm T11 complete; she's a walkie.) But, most of all, we want the seclusion and vastness of the desert. we're both kind of "into" that sort of thing.

So, does anyone have any suggestions for lodging/accommodations in this environment?

Thanks!

Lynn & Alison

Agree. Take a camper of Death Valley for dessert in the desert. I respect your love for seclusion, Murray, but I too like hanging out in seclusion so, accidently, I might be there or anywhere shooting the breeze.

All the best to you and Alison. It's great you both know what you want and aren't mucking about. I think your life might be jammed on fast forward.

Thanks for the kind words and for the suggestion. We'll look into the latter. As for the fast forward - yep, we're sailin'; life is good.

I have a much better solution. My back yard!
nomis and I will stay away All weekend.
Promise!

And we'll be right there just in case you need anything.

The RV idea sounds great! There are so many to choose from and rental is available in many cities.
Have fun!
Oh, and post some photos of the isolation........

Hi,

My wife and I (I'm the one with the wheels) stayed at the 'Furnace Creek Ranch' in Death Valley in May 2007, and we were very happy with it.

My god Smudge, by the looks of it, so many things to see and do! How did you fit them all into a 1 month vacation?
