A friend recommended this site to me (www.spotify.com) - it allows you to listen to virtually any music track/album over the internet for free.
The catch is that it only works for free in some countries and after every 6 tracks or so it plays a 30 second advert. If you don't like the advert than you can pay 9.99 a month to go ad-free.

You create an account and download a program that looks a bit like iTunes. And then you're ready to go. I've been stunned by the size of their catalogue. There are some noticable absentees: The Beatles, Led Zepplin, Metallica, Snowpatrol, Frank Zappa.

From their faq:
What countries is Spotify available in?
We’ve released our free advertising supported version in Sweden, Norway, Finland, the UK, France and Spain. In most other countries Spotify Premium is available for purchase.

I'm not on commision (honest) but I just think it's a great application. www.spotify.com

Great site, thanks for the tip.

Any way of getting the music onto CD?
If I fall out of my wheelchair in the woods would anybody hear me?

You can save off the mp3 files with something called Replay Music. http://applian.com/replay-music/, once you have the MP3 files you can drag them into iTunes and burn off a CD. Not that I would condone these actions of course.
