Yeah - saw it a couple of days ago and loved it. Couldn't believe I'd been in there 2.5 hours when it finished, Black, Funny and Gruesome in equal parts it was Tarantino back to his Pulp Fiction best. Superb.

X-Men Origins:Wolverine (I am a closet X-Men fan!) 8/10
District 9 (I never thought I would feel sorry for aliens and will never look at a prawn sandwich in the same way again) 9/10
and
Children Of Men (A British apocalyptical movie featuring the end of mankind) 9/10
I now need a brief pause in proceedings to restock ice cream supplies and decide what to watch next

I had the exact same experience (well, I think) - this is a masterpiece - but remember not to expect a 'normal' war movie - this is ending second world war - do I dare say - as it should have been

Kidulthood, a pretty realist interpretation of inner city London living. It was refreshing to see the other side of London being portryed and not just the one seen in films such as Notting Hill and Love Actually etc, 7/10
Seven Pounds: Good story and a very lovely Will Smith:D 9/10
Thats all for tonight! I have very much enjoyed my day slumming it with movies.

It's a powerful story set in modern day Ireland. I speaks to the horrors that plague many African nations and the butchery of human beings. It explores the emotional, physical, spiritual costs, the courage, love and failing of a peaceful man struggling with the evil side of self; while living in an unfamiliar supposed "more enlightened" land with men of different dress/accents/morals, where compassion and evil still abound.
This is a character study filled with raw emotion, some graphic violence mostly via brief flashbacks; a movie I will not soon forget...

PS. Streamed off of Netflix.

"The Boat that Rocked", great 60's music and funny 8/10
"The Boy in Stripped Pajamas", sad but great film 8/10
"Life is Beautiful". Fantastically funny but also very sad; not for emotional people. 10/10
"Changeling". You'd not recognise Angelina Jolie who plays a brilliant part in a true story. Its sad and shocking, but you cant stop watching, even though its 2 hours 20 mins. 9/10
