Wolverine was ok, but to much special effects that looked like special effects to me.
I'm not a trekie(sp?) but the Star Trek movie was pretty damn good. Of course tons of special effects like Wolverine, but they were done very good and didn't look like half the movie had the actors filmed in front of a blue screen. My wife who is also not a trekie and probably hasn't ever watched any of the original left the movie wanting to go dig up some of the old shows to watch it, so I recommend this movie more then any others I have seen in the last year or two.

If you want something else on your plate, go and see 'Antichrist' by Danish Lars Von Trier - it's .. well.. different.

Thanks Q for this update, I'll give it a shot.
I don't like wrestling as well and that was keeping me from watching it!

We own the night...could have been better.
Cocaine Cowboys; Was a nice documentary on the cocaine trade in the 80's in Florida.
I watched "Endless Summer" for the 213284308th time...still good.

Kinda makes you wonder about all that debt out there and whose is really dancing, pulling the stings...not a half bad thriller.

His movies are scary in a thought provoking sense, not necessarily a gory sense.
I liked it mosly because it wasn't a chop-em-up psycho thriller. I guess I've outgrown that genre or they've just gotten to scripted and predictable.
His last movie, "The Village" was good too. Scary, but with a real story line and also thought provoking.

I love his films in general. Very thought provoking indeed. Movies like Signs, The Village, Lady in the Water, I own and love to watch over and over again. I like that they creep me out but without the chopping-body-parts-gore factor. I mean, sometimes I enjoy a good gorey horror movie but most horror movies these days are cheesy crap.
A few weeks ago I bought Beetlejuice at Best Buy because it was really really cheap. A friend of mine and I watched it twice in a row because we had forgotten how awesome that movie is and got such a kick out of it. Total classic. Tim Burton is fabulous. I can't wait for his Alice in Wonderland film that he's currently filming!

One of the best rocumentories I've seen. Not only do we see the band's personal and musical evolution, we also get a glimpse into the life of a master poet/songwriter, the wheres, whens and whos that helped shape him and his unwavering ethics that helped change the music industry.
Don't miss this 2 DVD set, it's fantastic
