That's a bitchen looking chair!
Hope form followed function.
With patience and a lot of vaseline I could get maybe one ass cheek into that damn thing.
And it would take a jaws of life to get me back out of it.
But it sure looks cool.

I've got an Otto Bock chair. Not that one, though. The design and build quality of mine is superb. The Blizzard looks impressive.

i just brought an otto bock blizzard second hand but a bit disappointed with it, i brought it as i'm having trouble folding my davinci and opening it up some of the time when on my own,
i read all the webb pages on the blizzard as had seen one on ebay, i brought it and is a great chair to use very comfortable, very well built and great quality chair, easy to wheel, very well balanced easily adjusted to suit the individual user, in fact on the surface very impressive and probably the best balanced chair i've owned .
however not so good when it comes to stowing across you in car,
the blurb states "Chief attraction: You do not have to do anything with the side panels, because they automatically retract into the frame when the back rest is folded down" it infact does fold down but the back of the side panels, stick out well from the back of the chair a bit like folded butterfly wings! making it quite clumbersome, and they also state "You can then quickly and easily load the Blizzard with one hand" - i cant see how this is possible as its quite heavy and quite unweildy, i can only imagine that they got a proffesiuonal weight lifter to try that bit!! i have strong upper body but it takes all my time to lift it in car using two hands! the other bit i dont like is i have the wheels at lowest setting so you also end up with the rest of the adjustment bar sticking down so instead of lifting an l shape across you it ends up more square with that bit, so not really gaining on the squarer framed chairs that are prob lighter,
however i love the chair when i'm using it so keeping it for everyday use and when someones out with me to stow it in boot, but going to stick with my 11yr old bromakin when i'm on my own, it might be a bit outdated and batterted but at least i can lift it in the car.
anyone else any experience of the otto bock blizzard? possitive or negative?

There was one of these chairs in the spinal unit in Brisbane when I was in there. I never used it, but all the feedback I heard about it was poor. It was quite a while ago now so I don't remember the specific issues.
