I think I finally found a scooter that my insurance co will pay for its a Pride Go-G0 Elite Traveler, has anyone familar with this type of scooter?

Also the salesman kept saying that the 3 wheel would give me more leg room than a 4 wheeler, but I wasn't too sure as to this, isn't a 4 wheeler more stable?

Any advise would be soo greatly appricated because you know how insurance co. are they don't just hand them out 1 a year :D .

Nipper :mfrlol: soon to be riding and getting out of the house!

Advantages of three-wheel scooter:
More manouvrable (usually smaller turning circle)
Often lighter
More leg room - very important to me with callipers on both legs

Advantages of four-wheel scooter:
More stable.

In practice, I don't find the three wheel scooters unstable, but I have good balance.
I can't manage a four-wheel scooter, insufficient leg room to be comfortable.

Hope this helps.

Thank you I appreciate your input so much, I only had a chance to test the 3 wheeler and from what the salesman said you do loose some legroom on the 4 wheeler. As for weight it only a couple of pounds difference but hubby will be lifting it not me.

I went to the flea market and could only walk just a little bit between my cane and husband help holding me up, so we didn't stay long. I had to go and sit in the car due to my whole body was shaking. This is getting to be soo depressing and each month it's getting alittle worse.

Sorry to get of the subject, just wanted to say thank you for your experiences.

Thank you,

Hi Nipper: I have a Golden Technology Buzz around lite which is equivalent to the Go Go Elite and love it. I have had it about two years and it has given me so much freedom. They break down into a few pieces and fit in almost any car. We go to a lot of car shows and will be going to Pa. the first week in June to York and Carlisle and I can use the scooter all day on a single charge. Insurance can be a hassle but if they are paying for at least the majority it is well worth it. Also some ins co's. will also pay for certain things like new batteries. I use mine enough that I have to replace batteries once a year. Good luck and I hope it gives you the independence you are looking for. Jim
