Just curious, what can you not live without?? I need my bedrail. Helps me turn at night and with transfers. I only use transfer board to get into bed and for car rides and driving. My reacher is very handy.
I like my little wet/dry vacuum. Shower bench is needed too. I also have a few lap trays. These are used for eating and transfering items as they just roll out of my lap. Makes empting the dishwasher easier.
I also have a small lift in the door of the van and my lift at the side door. So....what can you not be without???

My home-made reacher consisting of a section of dowel with a cup hook on one end. Magic....also good as a back scratcher.

erm four favourite pieces of equipment in my house..., my mixers, without them , cookie making would be so erm time consuming ;) My sewing machines .... and my gorgeous piano !!! My lazy bed light.. youtalk to it to turn it on and off. or to dim it.. fantastic when you've just got to the end of a book keeping yourself awake by utter force for the last three hours to finish it.. and then all you have to say is *off* . The book drops to your side, you just spoke the last word of the day and you fall asleep immediatelty ;)Life would be just hell without anyone of them LOL!

my gorgeous assistance dog- she opens & closes doors, drawers, cupboards, retrieves dropped + requested items, helps me to undress, pushes things out of the way, takes washing off the line etc etc etc. Definitely would lose some independence without her.

likewise jade, my wheelchair and my assistance dog are my most valued aids, i would definately loose independence without my assstance dog, he does so much, even puts my rabbits back in their cage when they wont go in for me and i cant get on the grass to them, he carries shopping, fetches things for me, allerts me to low oxygen levels, retrives dropped items, opens the washing machine door and carries washing out to the line, hes just a godsend, not managed to teach him to make me a cup of tea yet though!!
it wasnt me, i didnt do it, no one saw me so they cant prove a thing!
