i have a bunch of rc's, but no chin control, my thinking is you would need to do something with a 3-channel 1-stick remote, then modify a way to hold it up by you chin and add some extension to the stick(i have extensions on a 2-stick radio to make it easier to use for me).

Futaba makes a single stick 3 channel transmitter, with a bit of modding you it should work.

Being nosy but what kind of R/C are you planning on running?

I run a Mugen MBX6 with a RB Concept S5 L2G engine, a Highly modified HPI Savage with a OS 30VG, And a highly modified Traxxas E-Maxx with dual brush less motors and I run 2 2s LiPo packs.

I have also raced touring cars in the past, Mainly HPI RS4's (one nitro, one electric) The electric one was set up for drifting.

Really can't tell from those pics, if they were bigger I'd be able to tell.

Hi Aggzy. Heres my new toy i "accidentally" bought off ebay at Christmas. Its an HPI Baja 5b with a 23cc strimmer engine in it. It goes like s*"t off a shovel and you can get about 30 - 40 minutes of run time. As for a controller, the standard is a trigger for the throttle and brake and a wheel for the steering. Im not a huge expert on the electronics side, but a 6 or 7 channel transmitter me be able to be modified so one stick does the throttle and the steering. Have a look at www.hpibajaforum.com A lot of the guys on this fabricate their own components and electronics, so maybe somebody might be able to help. The type of car does not really matter, so long as you can get a transmitter modified for you that will talk to a reciever in the car. Anyway, hope this helps. I can try and get more pictures of my RC cars if you want. Good Luck.IMG_0440_mod.jpg

agg, if you're in need of chin control the best advice i can give you is sell the nitro car and go with an electric, they're just as fast and so much more user friendly.

msg is right, a 6 or 7 channel radio can be used with only 1 stick as input but you don't need 6 or 7 channels and would be spending more money for them, here's a link to a couple 3-channel 1 stick radios that would work for what you need to drive a car: http://www3.towerhob...wti0093p?&C=JCE

also i belong to an rc forum,

Hi Aggzy

I like the look of the transmitters tmcph found. I've not seen anything like that over here. The last time i took a two stick transmitter apart (which was a long time) i could actually remove the stick units themselves. Maybe if you got one of these single stick transmitters you might be able to remove the stick and mount it on some kind of bracket close enough for you to use, and extend the wiring down to the transmitter. If you need the stick extended, some of them used to have tops that would unscrew. All you would need to do is get a bit of threaded rod in between if thats the case.

That looks a good forum tmcph, i might join that one as well. I have my Baja at work with me to use in our yard cos the weather is good. The only problem is i cant drive and take pictures at the same time! I dont trust anyone to drive it yet!

i think you are going to have to find someone to fab it up, that's way to specialized for it to already be made. go to your local hobby shop and fabricator, take the pictures you sketched up and just go talk to them, i've done stuff like that and there is usually at least one person that is willing to help.

msg, i know what you're talking about on letting others drive, i solved that by buying a cheaper truck and letting them drive that one, it's an expense but was totally worth it to me because i wouldn't be able to run mine without someone to help.
