:mfrlol: Hello I hope someone out there can be of some help. My sister has been quadra for nearly 4 yrs.She has some movement in her upper trunk and hands, although her fingers are clawed she is able to do make-up and write etc.She has a superpube, but since it was fitted she has had weird sensations, says she feels like its leaking inside and she is about to drown.Has anyone else had these sensations or able to throw any light on issue. Also bowels are difficult nothing seems to work properly, takes fibrogel, docusate, senna, some days will go four or more times, and then go for days with nothing. At present she is hospitalised whilst they have been doing tests and scans to try to get to the bottom of her symptoms she has seen upmteen doctors etc who cannot come to any conclusions everything seems ok to them. She is waiting to see neurologist as last resort.Has anyone been through anything like this and understands what is going on? Her spinal injury was caused by an abcess on her spinal cord she nearly lost her life, and is really struggling at the moment. We don't know of any support groups we are in Waterloo on Merseyside. Any help would be greatly appreciatd.Thankyou.RW. :

Ruth

I used to live in Southport until 6 months ago. Where is your sister in hospital and how old is she? I would suggest you try contacting the Glaxo centre in Liverpool as they may at least be able to help you out with info and put you in contact with a suitable support group. I did find medical treatment very hit and miss while we were there.

Would you like to contact me on my e mail address and I will rack my brains for you and see if I can come up with anything that might be of help, or you may just want to chat.

take care

L.
