I had an mri done since I have insane sweating and tight muscles below the waist. This also came allong with weird urine amounts and really weird #2. Like the size of my arm. Then they sort of leveled off too once everyday. but even that is weird for me. Anyway, I can look too my left and bend that way too and my left leg will get huge goose bumps and sweat like a lawn sprinkler. So, after two years of this shit they decided i should get an mri and he say's I have fluid on the spine. Does this mean that there's too much or just in one spot? When I google it I don't get anything other than it already has fluid in iytt anyway. So, if you 've heard of this, a treatment, or had it yourself let me know what you did. He's sending me too a neural guy. So, we will see and hope for the best. i live on 10 acres of grass. i can't have down time!!!

Ben, sounds like they mean a buildup of fluid, called a Syrinx. It causes problems with pressure on your spine. . . . also called Syringomyelia.
There are many threads here regarding this as well, if this is in fact what you have. Otherwise, you may have to wait for what the Neuro has to say.

I have a Syrinx below my injury (c5-c7) plus fluid pressure buildup above my injury, my nuro surgeon regards these as 2 seperate issues the syrinx will be drained and the pressure buildup is caused by scar tissue preventing the unrestricted flow of the fluid and this will be corrected by installing drainage shunts. I first noticed problems when Istarted to loose strength in my right hand,I now have little strength left in my fingers and overall my total strength has dimished severly along with my balance I'm due to have surgery in 2 weeks then it's hard work to build back the strength and get me back to where I was 4 months ago.

Graham - you and I are in a very similar situation with regard to the syrinx. The symptoms certinaly sound the same.

I'm having a drainage shunt performed this Wednesday (29th June). I am absolutely petrified to be honest although the hospital and surgeon do have a very good reputation.

Well I'm back home after spending 24 hours in hospital only to have my appointment cancelled at the very last minute due to an emergency coming into the hospital literally 30 minutes before I was due to go down for my op'.

I was all gowned up and everything - words cannot describe the dissapointment, I now have to wait until another appointment comes up which should be within the next couple of weeks hopefully.
