Well, when my legs spasm, my legs kind of hop up and down. And every time it would scratch my right leg just above the ankle. Now I have a little quarter size wound there, I think it will heal on it's own now that I took the strap off and it doesnt rub on it anymore. But my step-mom is totally over reacting.

So, its pretty much starting to scab over I think. (it's in a weird place, hard to see without a mirror)
So do you guys think it will heal on it's own? Or should I be putting bandages and junk on it?

Any advise that would help my mom from freaking out would be nice. :(

I feel for you Jesse! I have a little area on the back of my heel, lord only knows where it came from!

Most important thing is to keep it clean and dry, if it is starting to scab then it's healing, just look out for any signs that it is infected (redness, pus, heat, increased in spasms, AD) Try to resist the urge to pick the scab too (something I find very difficult) Keep the pressure off it as much as possible. Gently massaging the area around it to increase circulation will help remove any toxins too and get the vital nutrients to the areas. Keep a very close eye on it though.

Mothers will freak, that's their job!

Yeah, I had a spot on the bottom of my heel from spasms at night.

It took about two weeks to heal. The scab got really black and kind of bad looking, though.

After I got a bad area on a heel I had a search round and found some effective heel protectors. 2 years and no further problems on (wear the little blue bootee when sleeping) and am now selling them on my site. Various different types. If you're interested, you can go to DisabledGear.com (they're all brand new).
