I've been on Lyrica since September and Diclofex Sodium since February.

Recently my right eye lower lid has started twitching - it's not painful but (I've checked in the mirror) annoying. Has anyone else had this? I don't know if it's a side effect of the drugs (considering I have had the weight gain and brain fog I wouldn't be surprised) or whether my brain is deciding to add something else to my medical history.

Should I be concerned?

I think most people get an involuntary twitch somewhere or other now and again. Occasionally my left eyelid annoys the hell out of me for a while, then suddenly I'm aware that I'm not aware of it any more. Same thing with odd muscles round the body. No idea what causes it, but I doubt it's the meds. I'm certainly not worried about it.

I'm agree with the others, I am sure it's not a side effect of Lyrica. It seems that generally it is just an annoyance rather than something serious

MORE sleep??? I'm barely awake during the day as it is (including when I'm at work). I live a caffeine free life - someone told me (when I was desperate for pain relief) that caffeine didn't help lowering pain so I quit all caffeine... good bye chocolate!!

Did it help? Nope!!

Thanks for the reasurance everyone. It's been going crazy for most of today (even the chaps at work are commenting now), perhaps it's just stress or something.

*clutches lyrica tightly* Woop don't have to start worrying about an alternative!!

Quit chocolate? Chocolate is good for you. A doctor once told me that, and I don't care who contradicts him, I'm sticking with it.

Just on the subject of the muscle twitches: if it goes on for a long time (like half a day without stopping), or gets painful, or feels like cramp, talk to your neurologist. There's no harm in mentioning it, and you'll be more at rest. I get a twitch in a muscle under my left eye when I'm stressed... it never lasts long though. The doc said it was nothing.

Everything that is bad for you is also good for you if you look hard enough. My doctor told me that taking my pain killers with gin was a very effective way of coping with the nerve pain! Didn't take him up on it though. Perhaps that's where I'm going wrong?

I'll keep an... erm... eye on it. Hopefully it'll go away soon (please make it go away soon!).

Your doctor talks sense! Am enjoying a refreshing G&T right now! Nerve pain at present = tolerable!

I get an eye twitch whenever I see my credit card bill.

Maybe this is what I'm doing wrong - I ought drink the gin and tonic and not look at the bills!
