Im very new to all of this...its been 3 weeks since my g/f was in a car accident and became paralyzed...before that I knew nothing about stem cells or any other research...for the last week I have been in search of any signs of stem cell treatments working but most of what I have found is typically B.S. or scams....can anyone point me in the right direction?? It would be greatly appreciated....thank you
Dustin

Dustin,
Try searching the Care Cure Forum. sci.rutgers.edu Dr. Young posts monthly updates on what is happening with stem cell and what clinical trials are being started. You also should check out the nih.gov site. The correct address can be found on the Care Cure Forum site.

Sorry about the accident. It's a tough blow to receive in life.
There have been therapies provided in Germany and China (probably more places) that people have said have yielded return, however most of the patients reporting return are relatively acute anyway, so that soon some people see natural return
No cure.
Like what was said before, check out info provided by Dr. Wise Young and the SCI Rutgers/Care Cure group. Lots of good info.
