I hope you're all having an absolutely wonderful day! The sun is shining, the birds are mating furiously in the aviary (such stamina!!) and the sound of lawn mowers is drowning out the afternoon.

Today is my birthday and I've reached the shockingly ancient age of 24. Luckily growing up doesn't seem to have started taking effect yet so perhaps I have another year left.

:mfrlol: Birthday presents include - A DIGITAL HORNBY TRAIN SET!!! I'm so excited I've already cleared the dining table to put it on. I am more than a little excited by this one! Another gift is that I've had a friend over all day doing the manual lifting as I stripped my car ready for restoration.... here's hoping we have plenty of welding wire!!

Cars! Trains!! What more could a girl want for her birthday... that's right! Steam rollers!! But that'll have to wait until tomorrow. I need to raid the supermarket for a Thomas the Tank Engine cake

This is has been an absolutely fantastic day... and it's not dead yet.

If you can't work it out, I'll get these old brain cells fired up. With any luck two or three will still respond and start working together.

Now lets see. Clara is 24 and I am 66......so....... shit the synapses (is there such a word?) ain't firing too good. Shouldn't have restricted myself to just one can of Scrumpy Jack.

Right 2 x 24s are forty-eight. So 3 x 24s is half 48 plus another 24 - is that right?

But Hell! it don't come to sixty-six. Shit.

Let's just say in a few years I'm gonna be about three times as old as her. But then she's gonna be older by then, so 2 x 24s plus half 48 plus a few more is ..........

Aww! f*@k it! you work it out. I'm getting me another can.

Thanks everyone!!

I have a huge soft spot for vehicles / driving / bodging. The off roading I find amazing fun, better than chocolate AND guiness! What did you used to drive? I wish I had the funds to buy myself a Land Rover to turn into a real off roader... maybe one day (after I've built my hill climb car, restored my classic car, started on the replica Triumph ADU Le Mans GT Spitfire....) !!

Glad to hear the photograph of me didn't offend!!
