34 years later the lack of fusion, the (i can only call it fake bone mass) collapses into the central canal. A much longer story to get my man to a doctor. First surgery, failure. Continuation ( hard to explain (put your husband's ingury in extremely slow motion) well that was a work out. So here I am (care giver spouse. looking for someone to talk to. I lived this twice what's the chanes of that.? I also drink too much wine of late.

When you say you 'made it' do you mean he was up and walking? Was he an
incomplete injury? I applaud you for discrediting the prior no hope theory during the first time it happened. It's hard to believe it happens when it happens the first time but twice in a life time must be hard to bear. You need that wine right now, go for it.
